| New Gas Dryers Discussions| New Gas Meter | | Have you been told by your energy supplier that you need a New Gas meter?
I've just had a letter from Eon saying that they need to put in a new meter and that I should contact them to tell them when I want them to do it.
| | New gas tax on the horizon is nothing to "sniff" at. | | If you were to sniff, you may pass out. This tax has nothing to do with your car, but the business end of a cow. The EPA is considering levying a tax on cow farts. Yep, you read that right, cow farts. The emissions of our bovine friends are made up of methane gas, which harms the ozone layer. Cows account for 20% of this gas in the air. So, the EPA is considering levying a tax on farmers that have cows on the farm, per unit emitted.I think this is dumb. This is something that a farmer cannot regulate, how much a cow farts. Also, who are they going to get to measure these emissions. I know I wouldn't take that job, no matter how much it was paying. Besides, if the point of this is to reduce the emissions, putting a price on how much a cow lets out isn't going to slow the cow down any.Although I don't know of many farmers on MyLot, I just had to bring this to the table. What are your thoughts on this tax? | |

| | question about fuel | | I have the bad habit of filling up when my tank is half empty because I'm scared of running out of gas. Does this mean that my old gas remains stuck in the engine? Or does the old gas and new gas mix together? In relation to this, does anyone know if gas becomes old? And what's the difference between fresh gas and gas which has been sitting in my engine for some time (over a week?)? Thanks.:) | |
| | Cool freebie! We saved $15 to $20 with this freebie! | | We lost our gas cap awhile back and it's been costing us a fortune in lost gas. Today my spouse found a gas cap while he was walking home from the mini-market store down the block. He's been meaning to buy new gas cap, but money has been really tight lately. Finding a gas cap saved $15 to $20 and for us that's a really big deal! Everythings so expensive locally, it's nice to get a little break from the universe once in awhile. So, how about you? What did you get for free today? What's your best freebie for the week? Do you have any good freebies or links to free product samples that you would like to share?

My parents have booght them a new gas grill and they asked me how to use it, and I really would like to help them out.I myself have a charol grill and the only thing I like on it is hamburgers and hot dogs.So any ideas, tips or reciepes are whole heartedly welcomed. Thanks!
| | Ok Americans, Memorial Day Weekend is Over... | | How much did you spend in gasoline this weekend? Did you stay at home (or close by) because of the price of gas, or did you head out in spite of the prices? For me, except for a trip to Wally World to buy a new gas grill, we stayed home. We didn't do it because of gasoline prices though. How about you? | |
| | What are your feelings about eminent domain? | | I have dealt with eminent domain, fighting it off and on since 2002. The last fight started November 5th, 2007 when a popular gas company wanted to use eminent domain to take all the property in my area and build their stupid dang gas station! Eminent domain for private gain is so WRONG! If someone needs to build a road, school or highway thats one thing but to threaten to take MY house, paying me as little as 1/4th of what its truly worth so that they can make tons of money building a new gas station is NOT ACCEPTABLE! We see so much property being stolen from the owners for commercial buildings that usually go bankrupt within a few years or out of business. Why displace people, forcing them from their homes and not pay them what the property is worth? Eminent domain first started on property that was run down, trashed and abandoned, etc. If eminent domain didn't 'work' then they would use 'blight'. I've seen some $300,000 homes being taken via eminent domain and that is just not right!! Big companies have the money to strong-arm the people into giving up what they have worked so hard to buy. Yup, push the 'little guy' out of the way and make way for more commercial 'structures'.... | |
| | Who here is relieved over the gas prices? | | Gas down here is down to 79.3 cents a litre(canadian) compared the the $1.40 it had climed up to during the summer. I havent seen it this long in years! Actually, last time it was this low I didnt have my liscense and didnt understand the whole gas price ordeal (mind you i was really young) and my parents just made me buy my own car for school because they were sick of letting me use theirs all the time, so I couldnt be any happier. Who else here is VERY relieved over the new gas prices?Do ou think it will stay? | |
| | Wow What a nice neighbor | | You know I have to admit I do have some descent neighbors. My neighbor across the street just gave us a barely used charcoil grill that he had since his wife bought him a new gas grill he didn't need this one any longer and he had seen that we had thrown out our falling down one. Isn't that nice? I am definatly going to share my produce from the garden when it comes time to harvest.
Do you like your neighbors?
